Limited access to safe, affordable ways of dealing with menstruation has extensive consequences for the physical and mental health of women and girls in developing, rural areas. Not only does it lead to high rates of infection and disease, but it also leads to missing multiple days of school every month, further complicating the socioeconomic disadvantage that these girls already face.
Think about not having one of the most simple feminine necessities in our modernized life. Many of these girls are reduced to using cloth rags, newspapers, leaves, or even the hides of dead animals.
We want to bring an end to this. Our group partners with both global manufacturers and our local communities to help provide these girls with up to a year’s worth of sterile sanitary napkins. Our mission is to change the lives of girls worldwide, one village at a time.
